Before You Hit Publish …

So, you’ve written a piece that you really like. That you really think readers will like. That you are sure will captivate an audience. But wait …

Before you post it …

Realize that it’s a pretty IFFY situation. For it’s all a question … If Folks Find You. For there are over 10 million articles posted daily.

So, you probably need to rethink your strategy. You probably need to think about feeding the Google beast before you hit publish. And understand how to profit from that beast, as well.

For think about this: the majority of readers go online for a reason. And that reason is that they are looking for something.

Something specific.

To Capture Attention …

And in order for you to capture their attention, or to even get noticed at all …

You have to be an OASIS in their desperate search for what they really want. For they are thirsty for answers to what they are searching for.

And thus, to be that oasis for them, you have to optimize your article to satisfy the intent of those searchers.

Thus, you must be an online searcher’s oasis by offering thirst-quenching content.

So, your piece must ROAR loudly in their ears. You do that by researching and offering answers that are relevant to their purpose.

What is Keyword Research?

And the way you do that is keyword research. Or SEO. Search Engine Optimization.

You choose a relevant keyword for your article, the seed keyword, or a broad general word for what your article is about.

And then you type that keyword in a keyword research generator tool (like Googles Keyword Planner) to see if there is demand — or active searches — for that keyword.

If there are at least a minimum of 300 monthly searches, that keyword has possibilities. But if there are hundreds of thousands of searches, it’s becomes pretty iffy because it may be too competitive and thus, hard to rank for.

What’s Serp?

For you want to be on page one of serp, or search engine results page, or no one will find you.

To find you, there must be high search demand (lots of searches for that keyword). And there must be also be traffic potential (enough searchers clicking on links to make that keyword viable). As well as also having business potential (where searcher’s intent is to buy}. And your article must match the searcher’s intent (whether they are looking for info and not yet ready to buy or whether they are looking for a specific product because they are ready to buy).

And what’s also necessary is the potential to rank (where the top players who are ranking on page one aren’t totally dominating that keyword).

But a good keyword finder will generate long-tail keywords (or keyword phrases) that you can pick and choose from as you decide exactly what intent your article satisfies.

What’s Onpage SEO?

And if you find that your keyword is the answer that a lot of people are searching for, you then must make your piece that OASIS by optimizing your article to satisfy the intent of those searchers … using onpage SEO.

You put your keyword in the title of your article, in the meta-description, in the tags, and in the article itself, especially in the opening and in the body of your piece. (Always making sure your article still makes sense.)

While, at the same time, you actually provide what searchers are seeking. Giving them what they expect to find.

For, with a little bit of keyword research, you discover what your potential readers really want from you related to that keyword.

So you can give it to them. So you can satisfy their needs.

You can do it.

For you know how to do it. Because you are just like everyone else. You go online, searching for things, too. And you know what it feels like when you’re led to sites that have nothing to do with what you are looking for.

As well as knowing what it feels like to find exactly what you wanted. It feels so good, so satisfying to get what you were looking for.

And you experience Conversions — sales. And satisfied readers/customers.

Juicy Onpage Nectars

For your content offers validation of the expectations and requests of searcher’s intentions with onpage nectars. With keywords that are so juicy the thirsty can’t resist taking a sip. Keyword nectars so satisfying that searchers want more.

All because you did a little keyword research and wrote a piece that offered what others wanted to know.

Offered what others were looking for.

So, ROAR your loudest … Research, Offer Answers, and Rank. Then you’ll be one of the top contenders for getting the business and the readership you desire.

After all, it’s just a matter of a little keyword research.

Searchers everywhere are looking for what you have to say … and find you when you are their oasis … when you offer answers that satisfy their intentional searches.

Be their oasis. Quench their thirst.

That’s what the successful do.
